Since 1999, the Museum has set aside one week during Black History Month specifically for Black History Week. The Museum invites African-Americans to serve as panelists to speak to school groups. The "celebrities," who include former professional athletes, Hall of Fame members and successful businessmen and women share their values and experiences with the students prior to their tour of the Museum.
