ROBERT BRAZILE: Former Jackson State All-American linebacker who was a first round draft pick of Houston and a seven-time Pro Bowl selection with the Oilers.

LOU HART
LOU HART: Meridian, MS native who won a record nine women’s State Amateur titles and coached the Meridian Community College men’s golf team to national prominence.


JERRY RICE
JERRY RICE:  Crawford, MS native and the most successful receiver to ever play professional football; the only first round draft choice in Mississippi Valley State University history retired with numerous college marks that still stand along with 38 NFL records.
TROY RICKS
TROY RICKS:  Wheeler, MS native who was never a member of a losing team as a player or coach in almost 40 years of high school, junior college, college, military and AAU basketball.

GEORGE “BOOMER” SCOTT
GEORGE “BOOMER” SCOTT: Greenville, MS native who was a three-time  All-Star selection and seven-time Gold Glove winner during a 14-year Major League career spent primarily in Boston and Milwaukee; coined the word “tater” for home run.
