Induction Weekend Complete, Successful
Co-winners of the $5000 cash prize from the Museum's recent Drawdown of Champions were Deanne Mosley (L) and Bill Hetrick (R). Museum Board President Jim Keith is in the center.
The 46th annual BancorpSouth Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame Weekend was a terrific success with a large crowd at the banquet Friday and record attendance at the Drawdown of Champions Saturday. "Given the uncertainity in the economy and record fuel costs, we are very pleased," said Museum Executive Director Michael Rubenstein . "I had a great time. It was a first class event," said inductee Coolidge Ball , who was joined by Will Clark, Reggie Collier, Paul Covington, Hill Denson and Jennifer Gillom in the Class of 2008. In addition to the $5000 cash giveaway, the Drawdown--co-sponsored by the law firm of Wells, Moore, Simmons and Hubbard and Puckett Machinery-- featured live auction items like two tickets to a New York Giants' game, a $ 6100 Viking grill and a 50" flat screen tv.
