Everything's Cool
The Museum has a brand hew HVAC system that is offering welcome relief this summer.
The Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame & Museum has never been a cooler place to visit. Contractors are near the completion of a new HVAC system for the Museum which is a radical improvement over its original now fourteen-year old system. "This is so much better," said Museum Marketing Director Lulu Maness. "In the past, the mezzanine level of the Museum was especially warm in summer." For approximately three weeks during a record heat wave, the Museum had no a/c and visitors who were tough enough were invited to tour for free.

Baby, It's Hot Inside!
While contractors are busy installing a new heating and cooling system, Museum staff and visitors are without air conditioning on some of the hottest days of the year thus far. "It's a classic case of enduring something uncomfortable for a brief period of time to get to something great for a long period of time," said Museum Executive Director Michael Rubenstein . Contractors say the Museum will be without air until July 16th. Until then, the building is being cooled by industral fans loaned by Puckett Rents. The Museum's Trustmark Conference Center is not affected by the loss of Museum air conditioning.
