Some of the top names in Mississippi sports will try their hands at the pottery wheel at the Mississippi Crafts Center Thursday February 25, 2010.

Current JSU head football coach Rick Comegy ; Viking Classic tournament director Randy Watkins ; current Cincinnati Reds broadcaster and 15-season MLB veteran Jeff Brantley ; seven-time NFL All-Pro Ray Guy ; and, MSHOF executive director Michael Rubenstein will all work the pottery wheel to produce a piece that will then go up for auction.

"I think Ray (Guy) should have to do it with his leg since that's how he made his reputation," said the MSHOF's Rubenstein.

There will also be a skill throw contest for local high school quarterbacks. "We'd love to have every school in the tri-county area represented," said the Craft Center's Pat Flynn who is organzing the event.

To enter your athlete in the competition or for ticket information, contact the Mississippi Crafts Center at 601-856-7546. The Mississippi Crafts Center is located at 950 Rice Road in Ridgeland, MS. The event begins at 5pm.
