Mississippi's best college basketball players will be honored Monday March 30, 2009.

Tickets are now on sale for the Cellular South Howell & Cellular South Gillom Trophies which are awarded annually to Mississippi’s top men’s and women’s college basketball players as determined by media across Mississippi.

The presentations will take place Monday March 30, 2009 at the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame & Museum in Jackson, MS.

The top three men’s players and top three women’s players will be present with their coaches. A reception starts at 5:30 p.m. with the program beginning at 6:30 p.m. Also in attendance will be the namesakes of the two awards: former Ole Miss All-American Peggie Gillom and former Mississippi State All-American Bailey Howell.

Tickets for adults that include both the reception and the presentation are $50. A student ticket for basketball fans age17 and under is $25. All proceeds benefit the private non-profit Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame & Museum.
